What are student ambassadors?
Thompson Student Ambassadors are involved in a variety of student led programs. They support school-wide initiatives such as anti-bullying and creating a sense of school community.
How do I become a student ambassador?
Any student who has a desire to volunteer to serve their school in a positive manner can become a student ambassador. Teachers and parents can also nominate students. Fill out a form in the counseling center to begin the process today.
Who sponsors student ambassadors?
Your school counselors, Tisha Henderson, Frank Stello and Terri Cox
How much time do I have to commit if I want to be an ambassador?
Students volunteer based on what they are willing to give. It can be as little as one activity or as much as being a morning greeter every morning. As long as students are a positive representative of our school we welcome their service.
How will I be contacted for service? Contact will be from a counselor by email in most cases. You will let us know if you want to help! Also, if you signed up for a committee you will be invited to a meeting during or after school. These meetings will be minimal.
